ECS A780GM-A New BIOS Update

The new BIOS update (version 08/11/06 released on 11/14/2008) fixed the boot and RAID issues on the second install. The trick was to install the operating system after the system's first boot. When I tried the BIOS for the first time, I messed around with the system settings and re-booted a couple times. After that, it would get hung up on a single flashing, white cursor just before the OS would typically load. However, when Windows was loaded directly after the flash, it worked just fine.

I have to wonder if the other BIOS versions suffered from the same simple issue. However, I'm happy to report that the system has been stable for two weeks and I've enjoyed the functionality of RAID.
